Ed Lyell has been thinking about and advocating policy and structural changes to education for over 4 decades. In multiple roles, from teacher to state policy maker, he has advocating creating communities of learners who can help one another learn much more than just what happens in formal education. Given our new 21st Century age of unlimited information and access to it electronically, worldwide, we can dramatically improve everyone's knowledge level.
